Music has always been present at our festival and it has always been very important. This year it will be offered to audiences in three versions. Firstly, at the festival there will be many concerts and silent films with live music. Performances by Micheal Nyman, Eleni Karaindrou - collaborator of Theo Angelopoulos and the world premiere of the film opera Csoma by the Hungarian experimenter Tíbor Szemzo are certain to be a hit with both the festival audience and people of Wrocław.

And in the evenings during the festival, spectators should reserve time for musical impressions. In the festival club, situated this year in the Arsenal, 400 metres away from the Helios cinema, live music will be played every evening. Performances of various bands and DJs' sets will surely make for an eclectic portrait of the most important trends in contemporary music.

And, like every year, the film repertoire of the festival will include works focused on music. Recordings of concerts and film portraits of both symbols of contemporary pop-culture and recent discoveries will compliment the portrait of the NEW HORIZONS of music.
